How ACG Uses Agents- Robbie Allen
Robbie has 20+ years building AI products. He ran engineering teams at Cisco, founded three venture-backed AI startups that all exited, wrote multiple technical books for O’Reilly, and has over a dozen patents.
Currently Robbie not only is the General Partner at NC Tweener Fund, but is also the founder and managing director of Automated Consulting Group, or ACG. ACG helps executive teams turn AI from hype into results focusing on AI strategy, readiness assessments, operating model design, and hands-on execution.
In his talk, Robbie covers:
Why AI isn’t just automating tasks, it’s expanding the amount of work worth doing
The difference between automating a task vs. automating a job
Why most “multi-agent” systems are overcomplicated
How a single-agent + shared knowledge base model can outperform role-based agents
The real unlock: turning conversations into action, content, and execution automatically
“Once coding became essentially free, I started automating things I never would have attempted before.”
This is one of the clearest looks yet at how agentic systems actually show up inside a business.
